A side-scrolling beat 'em up with noir detective work, set in 1984 Silicon Valley.

The trailer · 1:17

You play Ray Delgado, a former Orbital Computers technician turned private eye. Someone has stolen the ORBITAL-1 master disks, and it’s up to you to find out who, with your fists and with clues.

Each chapter mixes two things. On one side, investigation: talking to people, dialing into a BBS from a terminal with real commands, decrypting a floppy disk and connecting clues on a board. On the other, side-scrolling fights with a boss at the end. There are six chapters, from an alley on Page Mill to a computer fair in San Francisco.

Pixel art at 320×180, a CRT filter and chiptune music synthesized in real time. There isn’t a single image or audio file: everything is generated in code. There will be a playable demo on itch.io and an Android version.

A bot plays all 13 stages before every commit. Without that regression run, fixing one level broke another and nobody noticed.
