Each lesson starts with a few cards, one idea at a time and read aloud. The first two questions show the rule, hints cross out a wrong option and, after a mistake, the child sees the answer with an explanation and the question comes back at the end.
When a lesson ends it is scheduled for review in 1, 2, 4, 7, 14 and 30 days if it went well, and the next day if it didn’t. The daily mission mixes pending mistakes, weak lessons and a bit of everything. There is a mock exam with a grade, a final boss per unit and a parents’ area with the state of each lesson.
It is HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no frameworks, packaged for iPhone and iPad with Capacitor. Adding a unit is a new file: I give Claude the PDFs and it writes it following the format of the others.
Lessons learned
Questions are generated at random, so it is easy for one to come out with no right answer or with two. A test generates about 60,000 of them across every lesson and checks each one before a unit is considered done.
