A Rally2-style car, nine point-to-point stages through forest, snow and moorland, and a co-driver calling every corner. There’s a five-light start, splits, a record per stage and a ghost of your best run, plus a championship against rivals and a service park to repair damage between stages.
The car dents, the headlights break and it gets covered in mud, and that changes how it drives. There’s rain, fog and sunset, replays with TV cameras and a photo mode. It works offline, with no ads, on a gamepad or a touch screen.
It’s a Godot port of the Forest Rally web prototype, made mainly for Android handhelds.
Lessons learned
The three.js prototype proved the handling worked. Reaching 60 fps on an Android handheld meant porting it to Godot.
